Software for interpreting lung function test results

The following software for interpreting spirometry is available:

GLI-2012

The analytical technique used for deriving the Stanojevic 'all-age' equations was applied by the Global Lung Function Initiative to >70,000 healthy nonsmoking individuals from various parts of the world. This gave rise to continuous equations for the 3-95 year age range for different ethnic groups. Predeicted values are available for FEV1, VC, FEV1/VC, FEV0.75, FEV0.75/VC, FEF25-75%, FEF75%. The Quanjer GLI-2012 equations were endorsed by the major respiratory societies: European Respiratory Society, American Thoracic Society, Australian and New Zealand Society of Respiratory Science, Asian Pacific Society for Respirology, Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, and the American College of Chest Physicians. They are state of the art all-age multi-ethnic reference values and therefore the reference values of choice. The software runs on a Windows platform. The output can also be printed.
